Summer League Back in Action

After a long delay in blogging (some other things came up that took away some free time), I had to start the season off right with some predictions.

I also changed the poll question to get feedback on who will win the Summer Session.

C League
YDD/Coke Vs. Alien Joe
In the season opener, a much anticipated rivalry will begin. With 2 Vegas team defectors (Whitaker & Glessner), the YDD/ Coke team will look to repeat as Champs. Alien Joe is looking to go the distance this season as well, but is looking even more forward to the after game drinks. Alien Joe by 2.

Slapshot Vs. MISF
Home field advantage should be the key to this game. MISF team has been practicing every night from midnight til 4 am under the direction of Captain Knox. "I want them to know every inch of this ice", stated Knox. Brent Johnson of Slapshot stated, "Since I did the Adult camp at Wells Fargo, I am ready to show everyone I belong in B League!" MISF by 1

MP Security Vs. Irwins/Legends
Fire fighters, police officers, DEA, post office workers & Meter Maids make up the MP Security team. These law abiding government officials will be a force this season. Non-government official, Roger Broadbent made the team but only because he buys the first pitcher. Irwins/Legends on the other hand all take turns buying pitchers. They believe they wwill do so bad this season that they even hired a 2nd goalie. "We don't feel so confident in Greg's abilities anymore" mentioned Wente. "We have Brown on the bench which should send the message to Davis that we are watching him." MP Security by 4.

Bearings Group Vs. Alien Mike
Just like the NFL has Monday Night Football, this league will have Thursday Night Hockey. Although the games will not be on ESPN, it will be on HGTV. This game should prove once and for all that Alien Mike CAN beat Bearings. After a dismal regular season last session, Alien Mike is ready to prove to the world that they are contenders. Bearings brings back their entire team and chemistry should play a big factor during this summer session. Bearings by 1

D League Thursday:
Alien Hockey Vs. 11 to 7 Insurance
With 11 to 7 team owner David Green moving up to C League, the team is under the direction of Jake Anonson. Returning captain for Alien Hockey, Natalia Bafia, is coming back healthy and 100%. These 2 teams should have a great rivalry all season. Alien Hockey by 1.

B & B Vs. Cup O Kryptonite
Matt Johnson of Cup brings his defending champion team to the summer session. "We had several players go to Europe to play in the more competitive Novice League" proclaimed Johnson "This way they aree ready to repeat as champs." B & B is taking a different approach. Made up of mostly parents that have kids that play, they will have their kids in the stands yelling at them to play hard. "We try to coach our kids from the stands when they play, so we felt it may work for us if our kids coached us from the stands" indicated Harpeneau. Another strong game this week for an opener. Cup by 3.

Have a great summer session!
