Status of Alien Hockey Capital Campaign

Many of you may already have heard about our store's situation and possible decision to close. We have sent out many letters & emails to our customers describing our situation and our efforts to start a capital campaign. If you have not heard about this, you can click here to see the this letter as it explains more of our situation.


We wanted to update everyone on our campaign efforts and answer questions that others have asked. Also, many have asked what they can do to help with our efforts. So here's the scoop.

- Our initial campaign involved obtaining a loan from individual investors. After some discussion, we are in the process of offering equity investing for a share of the business as well.

- We have had many individuals verbally commit to specific investment amounts. We are tracking these and charting our progress. Currently, these investors have committed amounts ranging from $1000-$5000. A huge thanks to everyone that has committed as every single amount helps at this point.

Questions

1. What is your equity investment plan? In order to achieve our goal of $125,000, we are offering people an opportunity to purchase an equity share of our shop.
2. How can I get more information about the equity investment portion of this campaign? We are currently preparing our forecasts for the next 1-5 years. We will provide this information at an upcoming meeting. We will invite a selected group of individuals to attend this meeting. If you are interested, please email me and I will provide more info.
3. Can I still buy into the loan portion as described in the letter? Yes! Again, every amount helps reach our goal. A customer mentioned "125 customers taking $1000 each would work just the same."

How can you help?

Customers can help in many ways. We know not everyone can help financially. We have customers that have become very loyal to our store and are now good friends. This is worth more than financial contributions. This being said, everyone can help in any of the following ways.

1. Contribute $1000 or more towards the loan portion of our capital campaign.
2. Become an equity investor for an amount of $10,000 or more.
3. Forward this information on to anyone you think may be interested in any part of our capital campaign
4. Write a letter. In order to show the future potential of hockey's growth, we are compiling personal stories from our customers. Over the next few days, we are asking every customer to write a 1 page letter talking about the following: your first experiences with us, how you got into hockey, why you got into hockey, any people you have recruited to play, stories to tell, and how we have benefited you and your family.
5. Any other ideas, suggestions, etc. that you may have. We are entertaining every option at this time so email us your thoughts.
