There has been a trade for the Cupid's Cup.
The Maroon Team has traded Dan Koenig to the Gold Team for Ilya Gorelik.
Koenig's agent felt the Maroon team did not have a strong enough chance to make the playoffs, so he instructed his client to hold out and not report to camp.
Rather than losing a player, Maroon saw hidden assets in Gorelik and made the move. "Gorelik is the bomb" proclaimed Lowell of Maroon. The Gold Team acquires Koenig and hopes this is the missing piece needed to make the championship run.
