Review of Last Week

I know I make predictions each weak that are dead on. However, I never get any credit for providing information to players who can't make a game.

Often times, a player may miss a game due to other obligations or injury. I take the time to give them all a detailed recap of what happened.

As Funny As It Gets

Our Vegas Trip is fast approaching and the anticipation is rising.

Unfortunately, we have a few members that cannot make it for various reason, but it allowed for the addition of some new players whom I will profile at a later time.

For those of you that do not know Dan Bishop, he is in charge of "fun" & "humor" for the team. That being said, he put together this video to help us get ready for our trip. Just like Jay Leno sets up movie clips for his guests, here is a bit of info to help you better understand.

The scene takes place in the locker room of a rink we play at in Vegas. Bishop has just provided an unexpecting Brendan some "bad news". Enjoy.

Slacker is Me.

Yes, I'm a slacker. As Matt Whitaker once told me 3 years ago, "Start a blog, but beware as you will be a slave to it." He was right.

I miss a few posts, predictions, etc. and get the grief...rightfully so.

Since I will have some free time (that just means we are not road tripping to Sioux City for a weekend of youth hockey) I will do several posts.

The problem is he's cheating! You can't be out there with your shoes! Is nothing sacred?!

Here's a good article to show you how they do things up north where hockey was created. Here are the steps in a nutshell.
1) Become an NHL player
2) Plot the murder of your father
3) Go to jail in US
4) Release from jail and move to Canada
5) Get full parole
6) Go play hockey for a University in Halifax

There's Something in the Water Bottle?

I was sitting on the sofa Christmas Day and my son came to me and said , "Shane just proposed to Jen" at which I responded "Yup, and there is a Santa Clause."

Turns out he was right, Shane had proposed and another chapter has begun in the Alien Hockey History Books.

So then we see Tony Hansen on New Years Day and he says he proposed and is set to get married as well!

Congrats to Shane & Jen and Tony & Amy!!! Best of Luck!

Turns out Blaine Barker of Cup O Kryptonite proposed as well! At this time though he has not heard a response. Apparently, Brittany Spears has not answered back and there is word of a restraining order being filed...but that's for a later blog entry.
